Job summary

Texas Health Alliance is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) for Labor and Delivery to work full-time night shifts at Fort Worth, TX. You will provide patient care using the nursing process, perform assessments, care planning, interventions, and evaluations in a Level III NICU/LDR setting.

Required: Associate Degree in Nursing or nursing diploma, RN license, BCLS, ACLS within 90 days, NRP and NRPA within 90 days, CPI annually, and 1 year of RN/L&D experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Associate Degree in Nursing or Nursing Diploma required; BSN preferred.
• RN - Registered Nurse Upon Hire required.
• BCLS - Basic Cardiac Life Support prior to providing independent patient care and maintained quarterly required.
• ACLS within 90 Days of hire.
• NRP within 90 Days of hire
• NRPA-Advanced Neonatal Resuscitation Program within 90 Days of hire
• CPI - Crisis Prevention Intervention training maintained annually within 90 days of hire
• 1 Year Experience as a Registered Nurse or RN residency program required
• At least 1 year of Labor and Delivery experience strongly preferred

Responsibilities

• Delivers care to patients utilizing the Nursing Process.
• Assesses the patient.
• Plans the care of the patient.
• Intervenes as appropriate.
• Evaluates the effectiveness of interventions.
• Incorporates age specific safety/infection control measures into patient care.
• Initiates action to meet patient and/or significant others' need for information.
• Maintains continuity of patient care inter-shift, inter-hospital, and while expediting out of hospital transfers.

Full-time nights, 36 hours weekly, 3-12 hours shifts, 7:00 pm - 7:00 am

Labor And Delivery Unit Department Highlights

• Texas Health Alliance is a Texas 10-step designated facility.
• 14 LDR Rooms
• 4 OB/ED bays - with OB Hospitalists 24/7
• 2 OR suites
• Average between 160 deliveries per month and increasing.
• 24 bed Postpartum/Newborn, couplet care
• Level III Maternal designation
• Level III NICU

Here’s What You Need

• Associate Degree in Nursing or Nursing Diploma required; BSN preferred
• CLIAFE Must comply with CLIA regulations regarding foreign education equivalency
• RN - Registered Nurse Upon Hire required
• BCLS - Basic Cardiac Life Support prior to providing independent patient care and maintained quarterly required
