Job summary

Ardent Health Services in Tulsa, OK is hiring for a night shift, full-time Labor & Delivery (L&D) Registered Nurse (RN) to join Hillcrest Medical Center.

You will assess, plan, implement, evaluate and document patient care, demonstrate age-specific knowledge, and adhere to the Oklahoma Nursing Practice Act while delivering safe, efficient obstetric care as part of a dedicated team.

Qualifications

• ADN required.
• Current Oklahoma RN License required.
• BLS certification to be obtained within 14 days of hire.
• NRP must be completed within 6 months of RN hire or transfer date.

Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, implement, evaluate and document care activities.
• Provide care appropriate to the age of patients on the unit.
• Adhere to Oklahoma Nursing Practice Act and unit policies.

• Hillcrest Medical Center is a 656-bed hospital that includes The Alexander Burn Center, The Peggy V. Helmerich Women’s Health Center, Kaiser Rehabilitation Center, the latest technology for the treatment of cancer, and the Oklahoma Heart Institute.

• Accountable for assessing, planning, implementing, evaluating and documenting care activities in accordance with HHS standards in order to deliver efficient, effective and quality patient care.
• Must be able to demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age of the patients served on the assigned unit.
• Must demonstrate knowledge of the principles of growth and development over the life span, possess the ability to assess data reflective of the patient’s status, interpret the appropriate information needed to identify each patient's requirements relative to his/her age-specific needs.
• Plan for the provision of patient care including the development, modification and implementation of the plan of care in accordance with HHS standards in order to deliver efficient, effective and quality patient care as described in the Patient Care policies and procedures.
• Expected to adhere to and abide by the rules and regulations set forth by the Oklahoma Nursing Practice Act.

Job Requirements:

• Associate's degree in nursing (ADN)
• Current Oklahoma RN License
• BLS certification must be obtained within 14 days of hire or transfer into the role and prior to providing direct patient care
• Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) must be completed within 6 months of RN hire or transfer date
