Job description

Position: Registered Nurse (Per Diem)

The RN hired for this per diem position will be part of a small, collaborative team supporting a community hospital by building relationships with new and returning patients.

Duties include:

• Administering medications to patients via infusion or injection
• Managing ports and accessing central lines

The ideal candidate has strong IV administration skills and is comfortable caring for central lines and ports. RN experience in outpatient settings, the ED, oncology, or surgical services is a plus.

This position follows a Monday-Friday schedule from 7:30 am to 5 pm, requiring a commitment to 8-hour shifts during these hours.

Summary:

The Registered Nurse uses professional nursing processes to assess patient and family needs and performs various patient care services to assist physicians and advanced practice practitioners in delivering excellent care.

Minimum Requirements (KSAs):

• Education: Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing; BSN preferred
• Licenses/Certifications: Current RN license in applicable state(s); BLS certification required or to be obtained within 30 days of start date (not required for 100% remote positions)
• Experience: Minimum of one year RN experience; two years preferred; competency in ambulatory care functions
