Sentara Obici Hospital in Suffolk, VA is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) to join our IV Team. This part-time, day shift role offers an opportunity to provide advanced, compassionate care in a collaborative environment with opportunities for on-the-job training for medi-ports and monitor room cross-training.

The ideal candidate will have an RN license, BLS/ACLS certifications within stated timelines, and 2 years of acute care experience; BSN preferred.

The IV Nursing Team at Sentara Obici Hospital offers RNs an exceptional opportunity to practice advanced, compassionate care in a collaborative and supportive environment. This team is service oriented and consultative rounding to all units assisting with central lines. The IV nurse will access medi-ports and assist bedside staff with medi-ports, place midlines (will receive on the job training for this), respond to all MRTs and Code Blues, and cross train for the monitor room.

Education

• Degree or Diploma in Registered Nursing (required)
• Bachelor of Science Nursing- BSN or MSN (Preferred)

Certification/Licensure

• Registered nursing License (Required)
• BLS required within 90 days of hire
• ACLS within 1 year of hire (Required)

Experience

• 2 years of acute care experience (highly preferred)
• Experience with ports, and Ultrasound IV placement (Preferred)

We provide market-competitive compensation packages, inclusive of base pay, incentives, and benefits. The base pay range for full-time employment is $41.93 - $61.01 hourly. Additional compensation may be available for this role, such as shift differentials, on-call pay, overtime, shift premiums, extra-shift incentives, or bonus opportunities.
