Job summary

Sentara Obici Hospital in Suffolk, VA is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) to join our IV Team on the Night shift. This part-time position offers compassionate, patient-centered care in a collaborative environment with strong professional growth opportunities.

We provide a sign-on bonus up to $10,000 for qualified applicants and a supportive IV nursing team with duties including medi-port access and cross-training for monitor room duties.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or Diploma in Nursing (required).
• BLS within 90 days of hire.
• ACLS within 1 year of hire (Required).
• 2 years of acute care experience (highly preferred).
• Experience with ports and Ultrasound IV placement (Preferred).
• Critical care, Medical-Surgical experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Access medi-ports and assist bedside staff with ports.
• Place midlines (on the job training provided).
• Respond to MRTs and Code Blues.
• Cross train for monitor room responsibilities.
• Support central lines and IV team operations.

The IV Nursing Team at Sentara Obici Hospital offers RNs an exceptional opportunity to practice advanced, compassionate care in a collaborative and supportive environment. This team is service oriented and consultative rounding to all units assisting with central lines. The IV nurse will access medi-ports and assist bedside staff with medi-ports, place midlines (will receive on the job training for this), respond to all MRTs and Code Blues, and cross train for the monitor room.

We provide market-competitive compensation packages, inclusive of base pay, incentives, and benefits. The base pay range for full-time employment is $41.93 - $61.01 hourly.

Additional compensation may be available for this role, such as shift differentials, standby/on-call pay, overtime, shift premiums, extra-shift incentives, or bonus opportunities. Compensation within the range may vary based on qualifications, experience, location, market conditions, and business needs.
