Job summary

Sentara Obici Hospital in Suffolk, VA is seeking a part-time Registered Nurse to join the IV Team. You will provide IV access, medi-port care, and assist with midlines. The role includes responding to MRTs and Code Blues and cross-training for the monitor room.

Ideal candidates have RN licensure in Virginia, 2+ years acute care experience, and familiarity with ports/Ultrasound IV placement. Onsite childcare, free parking, shuttle service, and a nurse residency program are offered.

Qualifications

• Licensed RN in Virginia.
• BSN or MSN preferred.
• Two years of acute care experience preferred.
• Experience with ports and Ultrasound IV placement preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide IV access and Medi-port care.
• Assist bedside staff with medi-ports and midlines (on-the-job training).
• Respond to MRTs and Code Blues and assist monitor room when needed.
• Participate in rounding to all units and support central line care.
