Job summary

HCA Houston Healthcare Clear Lake is seeking a Registered Nurse in Interventional Radiology to support advanced IR procedures, assist physicians, and ensure patient safety across the IR suite.

The role requires ACLS and BLS within specified windows, 2 years of RN experience (critical care preferred), and an Associate Degree. We seek a compassionate, evidence-based caregiver dedicated to outstanding patient outcomes and teamwork.

Qualifications

• ACLS must be obtained within 6 months of employment start date.
• BLS must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
• RN – Registered Nurse with active licensure.
• Associate Degree in Nursing or equivalent.
• 2 years RN experience; critical care preferred in an acute care setting.

Responsibilities

• EKG monitoring when necessary.
• Administer medications or blood products as ordered.
• Start of saline locks and IVs per protocol.
• Catheterization of patients in department.
• Monitor patients receiving IV sedation under radiologist supervision.
• Inform Radiologist/Technologist of any patient condition changes.

Job Summary And Qualifications

We are seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) Special Procedures (IR) for our facility to ensure that we continue to provide all patients with high quality, efficient care. As a Special Procedures RN, you will be responsible for setup and assist physicians with procedures as needed (i.e., abscess drainage, biopsy, consent for invasive procedures and follow-ups, as necessary). We are an amazing team that works hard to support each other, and we are seeking a phenomenal addition like you who feels patient care is as meaningful as we do.

What You Will Do In Your Role:

• You will be responsible for EKG monitoring, when necessary
• You will be responsible for administering medications/blood as ordered
• You will be responsible for start of saline locks and IV’s according to IVP/CT protocol
• You will be responsible for catheterization of patients in department
• You will monitor patients receiving IV sedation under the direct supervision of the Radiologist
• You will be responsible for informing the Radiologist/Technologist of any penitent changes in the patient’s condition

What qualifications you will need:

• Advanced Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 6 months of employment start date
• Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date

• Associate Degree
• 2 years RN experience - critical care preferred in an acute care setting
