Job summary

Tenet Healthcare in Rock Hill, SC is seeking a Registered Nurse to provide and coordinate patient care during diagnostic and therapeutic imaging procedures, with nights and weekend call required.

You will assess patients, document in the chart, and develop and adjust education plans while ensuring medication reconciliation, test scheduling, consent forms, and adherence to IV therapy and safety policies. ACLS is required within orientation; CCU/ED experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Associates degree in Nursing is required.
• One year of RN experience required.
• A valid Permanent Multi-State RN License is required.
• If you hold an RN license from another Compact state, you must obtain a Multi-State RN License within 30 days.
• American Heart Association BLS CPR required, ACLS within orientation.

Responsibilities

• Provide, promote and maintain quality patient care during diagnostic and therapeutic imaging procedures, including education, standards of practice, professional growth, and collaboration with other providers. Nights and Weekend Call is required.
• Assess patient as an ongoing process using physician and psychosocial input and document in the chart.
• Develop and document education plans on written care plans; adjust as patient condition changes.
• Perform patient interventions completely and with age-specific competency for the patient population served.
• Verify, during hospitalization, orders for accuracy, medication reconciliation, and scheduling of tests/procedures, pre-op data, and consent forms.
• Follow medication and IV Therapy policies, identify patients, educate about medications, administer meds, and report interactions.
• Interpret diagnostic data and take appropriate action, e.g., notify physician of critical lab values per protocol.
• Perform related duties as required.

Develops and documents plan of education on written care plan. Alters educational plan as patient's condition changes.

Performs patient interventions completely and proficiently and demonstrates age specific competency for population of patients served

Verifies, during hospitalization, orders for accuracy (including reconciliation of medications), appropriate scheduling of tests and/or procedures, pre-op data, and consent forms

Follows medication and IV Therapy policies including patient identification, understanding about medications, administering meds and recognizing/reporting interactions 100% of the time. Appropriately monitors first dose medication(s)

Interprets diagnostic data and takes appropriate action when indicated (i.e. notification of critical lab values to physician per hospital protocol).

Performs related duties as required.

Required:

• Education: Associates degree in Nursing required.
• Experience: One year of experience as an RN is required
• Certifications/Registrations/Licenses: A valid Permanent Multi-State RN License from the state in which you reside is required.
• Should you hold a RN license from another Compact state, you are required to apply for and obtain a Multi-State RN License from the state in which you reside within 30 days.
• American Heart Association BLS CPR required, must be obtained within 7 days of hire.
• American Heart Association ACLS is required within orientation period.

Preferred:

• Experience: One year of Critical Care/ED experience preferred
