Job summary

Hartford HealthCare's St. Vincent's Medical Center in Bridgeport is seeking an Interventional Radiology Nurse (RN) per diem to cover Day shifts Monday–Friday with monthly evening and weekend call requirements.

The IR RN provides high-quality care across imaging modalities within the Radiology Department, handling pre-, intra-, and post-procedure phases and supporting sedation and recovery. Required BSN and active Connecticut RN license, ACLS, and 2 years ICU RN experience.

Qualifications

• BSN and active CT RN license required.
• 2 years ICU RN experience required.
• ACLS required.
• Cath Lab or Interventional Radiology experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality nursing care across imaging modalities in Radiology.
• Handle pre-, intra-, and post-procedure care and sedation recovery.
• Supervise and collaborate with support staff in a team environment.

Job Summary

The Interventional Radiology Nurse (RN) provides high quality nursing care to patients across all imaging modalities within the Radiology Department. The Registered Nurse (RN) applies all phases of care for invasive radiology procedures; pre-procedure, intra-procedure and post-procedure. The IR RN demonstrates competency in advanced patient assessment skills of all body systems (neurological, cardiac, pulmonary, GI, GU, skin and musculoskeletal). Functions as clinically competent in procedural sedation, administering conscious sedation and understanding the sedation recovery phase, reversal agents and airway recovery skills. Delegates and supervises work of PAA and PCA. Reports to Unit Manager.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing school (BSN Required) with active RN Connecticut State License.
• Strong Cardiac/Critical Care background, 2 years of ICU RN experience required.
• Cath Lab or Interventional Radiology experience preferred.
• Must be collaborative and flexible working in a close team environment.
• ACLS Required
