Atrium Health Navicent The Medical Center in Georgia is hiring a Registered Nurse to join a neurovascular care team. You will provide and coordinate comprehensive patient care through the nursing process to deliver safe, therapeutic care in accordance with standards and policies.
Responsibilities include applying evidence-based practice, clinical decision making, compassion, and clear communication while leading efforts to ensure the safest patient environment and the best patient experience
This team provides invasive diagnosis and treatment of conditions affecting blood vessels in the brain, head, neck, and spine. Procedures include cerebral angiography, mechanical thrombectomy for acute stroke, aneurysm treatment, embolization, and intracranial stenting. The team work collaboratively with interventionalist to provide highly specialized, time-sensitive care designed to protect neurological function and improve patient outcomes. We have 1 hybrid lab where these procedures are primarily performed. Procedures may also be performed in 2 of the cath labs. Staff work hours: 7a-530p (4 10-hr shifts). Nights, weekends, and holidays are covered with on call. Nurses administer moderate sedation for most cases. Cases requiring deep/general anesthesia are supported by anesthesia.
