Job summary

Atrium Health Navicent- The Medical Center is a fast-paced, 30-bed unit specializing in pre- and post-operative cardiac care. We care for patients undergoing heart catheterization, pacemaker insertion, TAVR, cardioversion and ablations, providing comprehensive care before and after these procedures.

Qualifications

• Completion of an accredited or approved program in nursing.
• Registered Nurse license issued by the state in which the teammate practices.
• BLS for Healthcare Providers certification issued by the American Heart Association.
• ACLS certification issued by the American Heart Association required/expected within 6 months of hire date.
• Cardiac/critical care experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• As a skilled and compassionate RN, you will play a pivotal role in providing and coordinating comprehensive patient care through the nursing process to deliver safe, therapeutic care in accordance with established standards, policies, and procedures.
• Using evidence-based practice, clinical decision making, compassion, and effective communication while leading efforts to create the safest patient environment and the best patient experience across the continuum.

Our 30-bed unit specializes in the care of pre- and post-operative cardiac patients. We deal with patients undergoing various procedures such as heart catheterization, pacemaker insertion, TAVR, cardioversion, and ablations. It\'s important to note that we don\'t perform these procedures ourselves but rather provide comprehensive care before and after them.

In addition to our focus on cardiac care, we also provide care for a diverse mix of medical-surgical and orthopedic patients.
