Experienced RN with 1+ years experience

Job Summary:

RNs in the Weekend Only program work from Friday at 7 a.m. to Monday at 7 a.m. They receive a Weekend Program differential for each eligible hour worked. The RN is paid a percentage above their base pay, equivalent to an additional 4 hours for each 12-hour shift. Additional shifts from Monday to Thursday can be picked up at the base pay rate, plus any applicable shift differential or incentive pay.

Responsibilities:

• Deliver exceptional nursing care to patients
• Assess patient status using organizational and leadership skills
• Determine patient priorities
• Implement clinical nursing interventions
• Develop and perform patient care plans
• Ensure a safe and therapeutic environment

Essential Functions:

• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary care team
• Conduct initial and ongoing patient assessments
• Evaluate and revise care plans to meet expected outcomes
• Administer medications safely according to policies and procedures
• Perform other duties as assigned

Education:

Graduate of an accredited Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Nursing

Licensing & Certifications:

• Ohio RN licensure
• Basic Life Support (BLS) – American Heart Association
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) – American Heart Association or Red Cross (Mercy Health will assist with certification during orientation)
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) – American Heart Association (Mercy Health will assist with certification during orientation)

Physical and Mental Demands:

Includes reading and interpreting instructions, setting priorities, critical thinking, and decision-making with significant impact on the work unit. Flexibility and adaptability are required.

Working Conditions:

Includes periods of high stress, exposure to hazardous substances or body fluids, potential exposure to infectious organisms, and periods of working alone. The environment is generally a well-lit, air-conditioned office with moderate noise levels.
