Job summary

Sentara Obici Hospital in Suffolk, VA is seeking an IMCU RN to provide high-quality, observation-focused care for patients requiring close monitoring in a 24-bed IMCU. Qualifications

• RN license required to practice in Virginia.
• BSN or MSN preferred; candidates in progress of program may be considered.
• 1 year of acute care experience preferred; previous healthcare experience considered a plus.

Sentara Obici Hospital is seeking a dedicated and patient-focused Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Intermediate Care Unit (IMCU).

As an IMCU RN, you’ll provide high-quality, evidence-based care to patients requiring close observation and specialized nursing support. You’ll play an essential role in monitoring complex conditions, collaborating with an interdisciplinary team, and ensuring a smooth transition for patients between critical care and general medical-surgical units.

About the unit

The IMCU is a 24 bed unit that provides care for higher acuity patients in neuro, cardiac, respiratory, surgical, and renal.

Typical patients include respiratory failure/congestive heart failure, chronic trached ventilator patients, stroke and seizure patients, MI cardiac patients, Renal hemodialysis, and post op surgical patients with extensive wounds such as decubs, VAT's, ortho, and ostomy.

Education

Bachelor of Science Nursing- BSN or MSN (Preferred) Students in the process of completing an accredited nursing program.

We provide market-competitive compensation packages, inclusive of base pay, incentives, and benefits. The base pay range for full-time employment is $41.93 - $61.01 hourly. Additional compensation may be available for this role, such as shift differentials, standby/on-call pay, overtime, shift premiums, extra-shift incentives, or bonus opportunities. Compensation within the range may vary based on qualifications, experience, location, market conditions, and business needs.
