Sentara Virginia Beach General Hospital is hiring a Registered Nurse (RN) for the Intermediate Care/Step Down Unit-3 East. The position is full-time with a night shift (7p-7a) and includes a sign-on bonus and a 6-month nurse residency program for new graduates.

RN license required with BLS within 90 days of hire; BSN preferred. The unit offers a supportive, team-based environment and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• RN license is required.
• BLS certification required within 90 days of hire.
• BSN/MSN preferred; ADN or diploma accepted.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care to IMCU/Step Down patients.
• Monitor patient condition, administer medications, and record care plans.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team for patient care and discharge planning.
• Support new graduates through residency program and preceptorship.

All new grad RNs receive a 10 to 12-week clinical preceptorship as well as enrollment in the Transition to Practice Program.
