Job summary

Advocate Health is seeking a skilled Registered Nurse to join the Intermediate Care unit in Winston-Salem, NC. The 24-bed stepdown unit bridges ICU and general medical care, requiring close bedside monitoring and coordinated patient care.

You will provide nursing care using the nursing process, adhere to policies, and collaborate with the care team to ensure safety and high-quality patient experiences. A valid RN license in the state and BLS are required, with 1+ year of RN experience preferred.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Provide and coordinate comprehensive patient care using the nursing process to deliver safe, therapeutic care aligned with standards and procedures.
• Lead efforts to create the safest patient environment and best patient experience across the continuum using evidence-based practice and strong communication.

Where You Will Work:

Intermediate Care is a 24 bed stepdown unit bridging the gap between the intensive care unit and general medical unit that has a patient population with various degrees of pulmonary, neurological, renal, geriatric, and infectious disease processes. Patients receive an increased level of care that requires frequent bedside monitoring.

We’re Looking For:

• Completion of an accredited or approved program in nursing
• Registered Nurse license issued by the state in which the teammate practices
• Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification issued by the American Heart Association
• Greater than 1 year of RN experience

• As a skilled and compassionate RN, you will play a pivotal role in providing and coordinating comprehensive patient care through the nursing process to deliver safe, therapeutic care in accordance with established standards, policies, and procedures.
• Using evidence-based practice, clinical decision making, compassion, and skills communication while leading efforts to create the safest patient environment and the best patient experience across the continuum.
