MedStar Union Memorial Hospital is seeking an Intensive Care Unit Registered Nurse to join our 24-bed ICU team, caring for medical, surgical and complex coronary patients in a high-acuity, fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• ADN/BSN/MSN or CNL from an accredited nursing program.
• Active RN license (MD or compact state) and BLS required.
• Prior ICU/critical care experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assess patient conditions, identify health concerns, and develop care plans.

Join the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) team at MedStar Union Memorial Hospital and care for medical, surgical, and complex coronary patients in a high-acuity, fast-paced environment. This 24-bed ICU offers experienced nurses the opportunity to strengthen their critical care skills while working alongside a collaborative team in a nationally recognized teaching hospital with 24/7 intensivist support.

Key Responsibilities

As a Clinical Nurse, you will provide skilled, compassionate care to patients and families across a spectrum of needs—from routine to highly complex. You will assess evolving patient conditions, identify actual and potential health concerns, and develop appropriate care plans. Interventions may be delivered directly or coordinated through collaboration with other members of the nursing team.

Qualifications

• ADN, BSN, MSN, or CNL from an accredited School of Nursing required.
• Prior Clinical Nursing Experience preferred.
• Active MD RN License or Active Compact State RN and Basic Life Support for Healthcare providers required (AHA or American Red Cross).
