A Brief Overview
Operates in a collaborative role with nursing staff and medical staff as a clinician, educator and resource for patients with wound and skin care needs.
What You Will Do
- Serves as the expert and consultant for all aspects of wound care.
- Works with outpatient and inpatient nursing as a consultant for all patients with skin and wound care needs.
- Participates in all projects related to wound and skin care.
- Develops and reports financial and quality outcomes of care against national benchmarks.
- Demonstrates creativity and flexibility in the development, implementation, and evaluation of care related to skin and wound.
- Assures the accurate and timely completion of documentation and charges related to wound care services.
- Maintains and shares an in-depth and up-to-date working knowledge of skin and wound products.
- Actively participates in the marketing of wound care services to include patient satisfaction; establishing and maintaining positive relationships with medical staff, clinics, and long term care professionals.

Required Education, License/Certification, or Work Experience:
- Registered Nurse (RN) - Board of Nursing An active license in the state of practice Upon Hire and
- Wound Ostomy & Continence Nursing Certificate - Wound Ostomy and Continence Nursing Certification Board (WOCNCB) Upon Hire
- 1-3 years Registered Nurse
- 4-6 years Registered Nurse
