Corpus Christi Medical Center Doctors Regional, part of HCA Healthcare, is seeking an Inpatient Rehabilitation RN for PRN status. You will assess patients on admission and during every shift, perform orders and documentation, and respond promptly to patient needs.

Qualifications include an RN license, Basic Life Support, an associate or bachelor’s degree within 2 years of employment start, and at least 1 year of RN acute rehab experience.

• Associate degree or Bachelor’s degree must be obtained within 2 years of employment start date
• 1 year of RN Acute Care Rehab experience required

Responsibilities

• Assess the patient’s condition during admission and each scheduled shift, promptly identifying and reporting any changes in patient status.
• Administer prescribed medications, monitor patient response, document care in the medical record, and take action for adverse drug reactions.
• Provide exceptional care by responding to patient requests, anticipating needs, and resolving them promptly.
• Educate patients, families, and caregivers about medical conditions, treatment plans, medications, side effects, and follow-up measures, translating complex medical terminology as needed.

Job Summary and Qualifications

What you will do in this role:

• You will assess the patients condition during admission and each scheduled shift, promptly identifying and reporting any changes in patient status.
• You will perform procedures, monitoring, or other functions as ordered by the medical provider(s), and ensure thorough and timely documentation of care administration in the patients medical record. - Administer prescribed medications, monitor the patient for therapeutic response, and take appropriate action in the event of an unintended response to the medication.
• You will provide exceptional care by responding promptly to patient requests, proactively anticipating patient needs, and resolving them.
• You will educate patients, families, and caregivers about the patients medical condition, treatment plan, medications, possible side effects, and follow-up measures, ensuring complete understanding by translating complex medical terminology.

What qualifications you will need:

• (RN) Registered Nurse
• Basic Cardiac Life Support
• Associate Degree, or Bachelor’s Degree must be obtained within 2 years of employment start date
