Job summary

Corona Regional Medical Center in Corona, CA seeks an experienced Registered Nurse for the Intensive Care/Step-Down unit. You will provide comprehensive adult and geriatric patient care using the Nursing Process and contribute to high-quality outcomes.

Reporting to the Director of Critical Care Services, you will supervise nursing staff and maintain standards of care in a fast-paced ICU setting. California RN license, ACLS within 90 days, BLS, and NIH Stroke Scale within 90 days are required.

Qualifications

  • ICU/StepDown/PCU experience required or preferred.
  • California RN license active.
  • ACLS required within 90 days of start date; BLS required.
  • NIH Stroke Scale certification within 90 days of hire.

  • Supervise all categories of nursing personnel.

The tradition of caring that culminated in the establishment of Corona Regional Medical Center® began in 1965, with the founding of Corona Community Hospital. Since that time the hospital has changed to meet the needs of the rapidly growing community. Corona Community Hospital merged with Circle City Medical Center in 1992 and the resulting entity became Corona Regional Medical Center. The merged hospitals are now a 238-bed community hospital network comprised of a 160-bed acute care hospital and a 78-bed rehabilitation campus. It is certified by The Joint Commission, employs more than 1,250 trained healthcare workers and has a medical staff of approximately 347 physicians representing more than 40 specialties.

Reporting to the Director of Critical Care Services this position assumes the accountability of all aspects of adult and geriatric patient care utilizing the Nursing Process and within the guidelines of the State of C alifornia Nurse Practice Act. Accountable for maintaining standards of nursing practice and optimal patient outcomes in the ICU. Responsible for the supervision of all categories of nursing personnel. Qualifications

MINIMUM ESSENTIAL EXPERIENCE

  • One year ICU/StepDown/PCU experience preferred

Required Licensure / Certifications

  • Current C alifornia RN license required
  • Basic Arrhythmia C ertificate or 12-Lead EKG C ertificate preferred. AC LS required within 90 days of start date
  • Current BLS (C PR) required. CCRN preferred
  • NIH Stroke Scale C ertification within 90 days of Hire required
