Job summary

Corona Regional Medical Center in Corona, CA is seeking a Registered Nurse for Per Diem Nights in the Stepdown/ICU unit. You will care for adult and geriatric patients using the Nursing Process and supervise nursing staff under the Director of Critical Care Services.

Requirements include CA RN license, BLS, ACLS within 90 days, NIH Stroke Scale certification within 90 days, and CCRN preferred. Per diems enjoy comprehensive benefits and professional growth opportunities within a large healthcare

Qualifications

• One year ICU/StepDown/PCU experience preferred
• Current California RN license required
• Current BLS (AHA) required, ACLS (AHA) required within 90 days of start
• NIH Stroke Scale Certification within 90 days of hire required
• Basic Arrhythmia Certificate or 12-Lead EKG Certificate preferred
• CCRN preferred

Responsibilities

• Provide care for adult and geriatric patients in ICU/Stepdown using the Nursing Process
• Supervise nursing personnel across all categories
• Maintain nursing practice standards and optimal patient outcomes
• Report to and collaborate with the Director of Critical Care Services

Registered Nurse (RN) - Per Diem Nights Stepdown Day

position located at Corona Regional Medical Center in Corona, CA

The tradition of caring that culminated in the establishment of Corona Regional Medical Center® began in 1965, with the founding of Corona Community Hospital. Since that time the hospital has changed to meet the needs of the rapidly growing community. Corona Community Hospital merged with Circle City Medical Center in 1992 and the resulting entity became Corona Regional Medical Center. The merged hospitals are now a 238-bed community hospital network comprised of a 160-bed acute care hospital and a 78-bed rehabilitation campus. It is certified by The Joint Commission, employs more than 1,250 trained healthcare workers and has a medical staff of approximately 347 physicians representing more than 40 specialties.

Reporting to the Director of Critical Care Services this position assumes the accountability of all aspects of adult and geriatric patient care utilizing the Nursing Process and within the guidelines of the State of C alifornia Nurse Practice Act. Accountable for maintaining standards of nursing practice and optimal patient outcomes in the ICU. Responsible for the supervision of all categories of nursing personnel.
