Job summary

Cedars-Sinai Medical Center is seeking experienced Registered Nurses (RN) for its ICU Float Pool. You will provide critical care to adult and geriatric patients across multiple high-acuity units, floating between ICU, Medical-Surgical, Telemetry, PCU, Overflow, and PACU as needed.

Requirements include a California RN license, 2+ years ICU experience, BLS/ACLS, NIHSS, and willingness to float across units. Weekend coverage and flu vaccine are mandatory.

Qualifications

• Active California RN license required at submission.
• Minimum 2 years of ICU experience.
• Experience in a 400+ bed teaching hospital.
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications.
• NIHSS certification.
• Willing to float across multiple units.
• First-time travelers accepted if experience requirements are met.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care to critically ill patients.
• Monitor cardiac rhythms, vital signs, and patient conditions.
• Administer medications, blood products, and IV therapies.
• Manage ventilators, central lines, arterial lines, and chest tubes.
• Titrate critical care and vasoactive medications.
• Monitor respiratory and hemodynamic conditions.
• Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary healthcare teams.
• Maintain accurate patient documentation.
• Float across designated critical care and other hospital units as needed.

Location: West Hollywood, California

Contract: 13 Weeks

Pay Rate: $60-65/hour

Shift: Day Shift 4 12-hour shifts

Hours: 7:00 AM 7:30 PM

Job Description

Cedars-Sinai Medical Center is seeking experienced Registered Nurses (RN) for its ICU Float Pool. The selected candidates will provide critical care to adult and geriatric patients across multiple high-acuity units. Nurses must be flexible and comfortable floating between ICU, Medical-Surgical, Telemetry, PCU, Overflow, and PACU units based on facility needs.

• Provide nursing care to critically ill patients.

Required Qualifications

• Active California RN license required at submission. Temporary and pending licenses are not accepted.
• Minimum 2 years of ICU experience.
• Previous experience in a hospital with at least 400 beds.
• Teaching hospital experience required.
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications.
• Current NIHSS certification.
• Must be willing to float across multiple units.
• First-time travelers accepted if experience requirements are met
  
  

Preferred Qualifications

• CCRN certification.
• Epic documentation experience.

Note: Floating is required. Weekend coverage required. Flu vaccine mandatory.
