Job summary

SageWest Health Care in Lander, WY is seeking a Registered Nurse for night shifts to provide high-level care to critically ill patients. The role includes monitoring life support, wound care, medication administration, and responding to evolving patient conditions.

Requires Wyoming RN license or compact, current BLS/ACLS, and PALS/ENPC; TNCC within 1 year of hire. A $15,000 sign-on bonus is offered to eligible candidates.

Qualifications

• BLS, ACLS and either PALS/ENPC certifications current or obtained within 90 days.
• TNCC certification or within 1 year of hire is required.

Responsibilities

• Provides direct high-level nursing care to critically ill patients.
• Monitors life support equipment, attends to wounds, responds to changing patient conditions.
• Administers medications, changes dressings, cleans wounds and monitors vital signs.
• Performs physician orders, educates patients and families as needed.
• Documents patient condition and coordinates discharge planning with the team.

Job Summary

Provides direct high-level nursing care to critically ill patients. Responsible for monitoring life support equipment, attending to wounds, responding to changing patient conditions and providing advanced life support.

• Assesses, plans and evaluates patient care needs.
• Administers prescribed medications, changes dressings, cleans wounds, and monitors vital signs.
• Carries out physician orders and clarifies, educates and instructs patients and families of them as needed.
• Monitors, records and communicates patient condition as appropriate utilizing computerized documentation systems.
• Assesses and coordinates patient discharge planning needs with members of the healthcare team.

Required Licenses

• Must have current and valid Wyoming RN License or compact equivalent

Required Skills

• Current BLS Certification through American Heart Association
• Current ACLS certification through American Heart Association
• Current PALS or ENPC certification through American Heart Association or required within 90 days of hire or transfer into department
• Current TNCC or within 1 year of initial hire

Work Experience

• Minimum 2+ years Critical Care experience preferred
