Job summary

SageWest Health Care in Fremont County, Wyoming, is seeking a dedicated ICU/CCU nurse to provide direct high-level care to critically ill patients. You will monitor life support equipment, attend to wounds, and respond rapidly to changing patient conditions.

The role requires coordinating discharge planning with the care team, administering meds, and educating patients and families as needed, while maintaining accurate computerized documentation.

Qualifications

• Current BLS Certification through American Heart Association.
• Current ACLS certification through American Heart Association.
• Current PALS or ENPC certification through American Heart Association or required within 90 days of hire or transfer into department.
• Current TNCC or within 1 year of initial hire.

Responsibilities

• Provides direct high-level nursing care to critically ill patients.
• Responsible for monitoring life support equipment and attending to wounds.
• Responds to changing patient conditions and provides advanced life support.
• Assesses, plans and evaluates patient care needs.
• Administers prescribed medications, changes dressings, cleans wounds, and monitors vital signs.
• Carries out physician orders and educates patients and families as needed.
• Monitors, records and communicates patient condition using computerized documentation systems.
• Assesses and coordinates patient discharge planning needs with the healthcare team.

• Carries out physician orders and clarifies, educates and instructs patients and families of them as needed.
• Monitors, records and communicates patient condition as appropriate utilizing computerized documentation systems.
• Assesses and coordinates patient discharge planning needs with members of the healthcare team.

Qualifications

Required Licenses

• Must have current and valid Wyoming RN License or compact equivalent

Required Skills

• Current BLS Certification through American Heart Association
• Current ACLS certification through American Heart Association
• Current PALS or ENPC certification through American Heart Association or required within 90 days of hire or transfer into department
• Current TNCC or within 1 year of initial hire

Work Experience

• Minimum 2+ years Critical Care experience preferred.
