Job summary

Centerpoint - Georgetown is hiring an Intensive Care Unit Registered Nurse (RN) for a 6-bed unit with a 2:1 nurse-to-patient ratio. This full-time night shift offers meaningful opportunities to care for critically ill patients in a dedicated team environment.

Qualified candidates hold a Kentucky license (or compact) and an associate degree in nursing. BLS/ACLS/PALS are required within specified timelines; Bachelor’s degree is preferred. Sign-on bonus available.

Qualifications

• Kentucky or compact state RN license and an associate's degree from an accredited nursing school.
• BLS within 10 days of hire; ACLS within 30 days; PALS within 45 days; Handle With Care within 30 days.
• KY RN licensure or compact licensure; Bachelor's Degree in Nursing preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs plan of care intervention, including medication administration, specimen collection, clinical treatments, and other medical care.
• Documents patient care given.
• Monitors, records, and communicates patient condition to care team, physician, patient, and family.
• Assists patients with activities of daily living, including personal hygiene elimination, nutrition, and ambulation.
• Collaborates across disciplines to coordinate patient care, including patient transfer, discharge, referral and spiritual/psychosocial support needs.
• Evaluates learning needs of patient and/or family and provides patient/family education appropriate to age, culture, condition, and circumstances.
• Works as an advocate for the physical and emotional well-being of the patient.

The intensive care unit (ICU) is a 6-bed unit that provides specialized care for critically ill patients. The unit maintains a 2:1 nurse-to-patient ratio to ensure close monitoring, timely interventions, and high-quality patient care.

How you'll contribute

AnIntensive Care Unit RN who excels in this role:

• Performs plan of care intervention, including medication administration, specimen collection, clinical treatments, as well as other medical care treatment.
• Documents patient care given.

What we're looking for

Applicants should have a current Kentucky or compact state RN license and possess an associate's degree from an accredited nursing school. Additional requirements include:

• Basic Life Support (BLS) within 10 days of hire
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) within 30 days of hire
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) within 45 days of hire
• Handle With Care - within 30 days of hire
• Associates Degree in Nursing, required
• KY RN state licensure or compact licensure, required
• Bachelor's Degree in Nursing, preferred
