Job summary

Resurrection Medical Center seeks an experienced Registered Nurse for its ICU in Chicago. You will provide direct patient care in a high-acuity environment, coordinating with physicians and multidisciplinary teams to ensure optimal outcomes.

The role emphasizes nursing assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation, with emphasis on patient safety, privacy, and education for patients and families. A sign-on bonus is offered for qualified candidates.

Qualifications

• Current and valid state RN License.
• Current BLS certificate upon hire and maintain current.
• Completion of Critical Care Course preferred.
• Basic Arrhythmia Interpretation within 30 days of hire.
• ACLS certificate must be obtained within 30 days of hire and maintained.
• Minimum of one year as a staff RN in acute care hospital; critical care preferred.
• CCRN certification preferred.
• BSN preferred.

Responsibilities

• Deliver safe patient care using the nursing process in the ICU.

• Communicate with the physician about changes in patient condition and test results.

Responsibilities

The Registered Nurse is responsible for the delivery of safe patient care utilizing the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation. Provides direct patient care within the scope of practice. The Registered Nurse also directs and guides patient/family teaching and activities of other nursing personnel while maintaining standards of care in the ICU. The Registered Nurse is directly responsible and accountable for the care given to his/her assigned patients. They communicate with the physician about changes in the patient’s clinical condition including hemodynamic monitoring, results of diagnostic studies and abnormal results and symptomatology. Is able to respond quickly and accurately to changes in condition and/or response to treatment. Maintains patient privacy and confidentiality.

• Minimum of 1 year of ICU preferred.

Qualifications
