Registered Nurse (RN) I - Surgery Circulator - CVOR at Norman Regional Health System summary:

As a Registered Nurse (RN) I in Surgery Circulator at Norman Regional Hospital, I provide individualized peri-operative care specializing in cardiothoracic and vascular cases. I collaborate with healthcare professionals, implement care plans, and direct surgical staff while maintaining a focus on patient safety and critical care. Overview:

Up to $10K Sign On Bonus paid over 1 year.

Compensation / Benefits

  • $27.84-$45.46/hr. based on previous work experience.
  • Evening differential $2.50/hr.
  • Night differential $3.00/hr.
  • Weekend differential $3.00/hr.

We have 2 operating rooms, one traditional operating room and one hybrid operating room, for cardiothoracic and vascular cases located in the HealthPlex tower at Norman Regional Hospital. Norman Regional Hospital currently houses the largest hybrid operating room in the state of Oklahoma. Our nurses demonstrate professionalism, teamwork, autonomy, and critical thinking skills while caring for a wide range of patient types. We orient new nurses to each of our surgical areas, spending time with dedicated preceptors in each area. Upon completion of orientation, nurses will be able to circulate cardiothoracic and vascular cases as well as a wide variety of other service lines. Responsibilities:

RN essential functions include, but are not limited to:

  • Collaboration with other health professionals, assessment, analyzing assessment data, establishing goals, planning care strategy.
  • Establishing priorities of care, implementing care, delegating tasks safely, providing safe direct and indirect nursing care.
  • Evaluating responses to interventions, and performing additional nursing functions in accordance with knowledge and skills acquired beyond basic nursing preparation.
  • Plans, prepares, and provides individualized peri-operative care utilizing the nursing process.
  • Directs surgery department staff in the care of the surgical patient.
Qualifications:

Education

  • Diploma or Associate's degree required; Bachelor of Science in Nursing or Master's of Science in Nursing preferred.

Experience

  • Previous experience in healthcare field preferred.
  • CVOR experience highly preferred.

Licensure / Certification

  • Current Oklahoma Registered Nurse license.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) training or retraining is required during orientation prior to providing patient care.
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) is required to be maintained through retraining for duration of employment.
  • Current Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) is required to be maintained through retraining for duration of employment.
