Overview

Registered Nurse (RN), House Supervisor – Job Type: Part‑Time. Shift: 12 hour shifts as needed, 7p‑7a, 1 weekend every 6 weeks.

Responsibilities

• Provides after‑hours leadership and serves as a resource person for staff, assisting in patient care and ensuring overall quality of patient care in the facility.
• Reports to the Senior or Chief Nursing Officer or Administrator on call.
• Performs plan of care interventions, including medication administration, specimen collection, clinical treatments, and other medical care treatments.
• Documents patient care given.
• Monitors, records, and communicates patient condition to the care team, physician, patient, and family.
• Assists patients with activities of daily living, including personal hygiene, elimination, nutrition, and ambulation.
• Collaborates across disciplines to coordinate patient care, including patient transfer, discharge, referral, and spiritual/psychosocial support needs.
• Evaluates learning needs of patients and/or families and provides education appropriate to age, culture, condition, and circumstances.
• Advocates for the physical and emotional well‑being of the patient.

Qualifications

• Current Tennessee or compact state RN license.
• Associate’s degree from an accredited nursing school (BSN preferred).
• Certifications: AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) within 30 days of hire; Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) within 6 months of hire; Pediatric Life Support (PALS) within 6 months of hire.
• Critical thinking skills, decisive judgment, and the ability to work with minimal supervision.
• Ability to work in a stressful environment and respond appropriately.
• Must hold RN license with Tennessee paperwork filed within 30 days of hire.
