Qualifications

Job Summary and Qualifications

We are seeking Critical Care Clinical Support Resource Nurse who supports high quality, patient-centered care by offering feedback, guidance, and mentoring to new graduate nurses and/or nurses that are transitioning to a new specialty. The Critical Care Clinical Support Resource Nurse supports multiple units. The Critical Care Clinical Support Resource Nurse provides guidance and education on the hospital’s standard of nursing practice, policies, and procedures to ensure compliance with all accrediting and regulatory agency requirements.

What You Will Do In Your Role:

You will perform rounds on each nursing unit; continuously observing, assessing the quality of patient care, and identifying nursing educational needs. You will escalate concerns about nursing skills, patient care, policies, processes, and equipment as appropriate, while utilizing your observation skills. You will provide feedback on nursing assessments, nursing diagnosis, planning, intervention, evaluation of patient care, and providing feedback and mentoring on patient assessments and care planning.You will provide assistance with performing or troubleshooting specific skills, and maintain IMobile phone for easy contact by new graduates or nurses within scope of support. You will track requests to identify the most commonly requested skills for purposes of enhancing orientation & education, while fostering teamwork and contributions to achievement of team goals.

You will attend rapid responses and codes as needed; to observe, provide feedback, and debrief, facilitate education, direction, & coaching; before, during, & after the rapid response or code as indicated. You will share your knowledge/expertise and assist co-workers.

What Qualifications You Will Need:

You must be a graduate of an accredited baccalaureate degree registered nurse program.

You must have a minimum of two years of Nursing Experience in ICU or ER.

It is preferred that you have your Masters Degree in Nursing with 1+ year in leadership & Preceptor

You should possess your Registered Nurse License to practice as a professional RN in the state of Texas or an Active Multi-State RN Compact License. If you have a Compact License, you will be required to obtain a Texas RN License within 90 days of hire.

You should have a current American Heart Association BLS Certification.

You should have Excellent Communication skills.

Meditech knowledge will be helpful.
