Job Summary and Qualifications

The Clinical Nurse Coordinator (CNC) ensures high-quality, patient-centered care and coordinates all functions in the unit during the shift. The CNC collaborates with management, monitors, and evaluates nursing care, serves as a resource for staff, and models commitment to the organization’s mission and values to support excellent patient outcomes.

Responsibilities include:

  • Assisting with admission and discharge processes for efficient patient throughput.
  • Participating in quality assessment of patient care services.
  • Collaborating to foster teamwork and improve outcomes.
  • Supporting a patient-first philosophy and service recovery.
  • Implementing nursing strategies to improve engagement.
  • Recommending and implementing staff training, development, and disciplinary actions.
  • Managing staff scheduling and labor costs.
  • Supporting inventory and supply management.

Qualifications required:

  • Current RN licensure in Colorado or active multi-state license.
  • Basic Life Support certification (American Heart Association or Red Cross).
  • ACLS & PALS certifications.
  • Graduate of an accredited nursing program; BSN preferred.
  • Minimum of one year of experience; pediatric PACU, ambulatory, critical care, or ED experience preferred.
