Job Summary and Qualifications

This position supports the mission of Presbyterian / St Luke's Medical Center to optimize quality of life by expanding beyond medical needs to the needs of the whole person. The BMT RN oversees care of blood and marrow transplant patients, hematologic/oncologic disorders, multisystem organ failure, and others meeting BMT criteria. Acts as primary nurse coordinating multidisciplinary care, supervises assistive personnel, and maintains accountability for patient care. Within one year, the RN will acquire basic BMT knowledge; between years one and two, critical care skills. Performs additional duties as assigned.

Position Requirements
  • Current Colorado RN licensure or multistate license
  • BLS certification; ACLS and ONS Chemotherapy Provider Card within 90 days
  • Graduate of an accredited nursing program; EKG interpretation within first year; BSN preferred
  • One year acute care experience preferred
  • Effective communication, team management, critical thinking skills, compassionate holistic care
