Job summary

Ohio State University Physicians is seeking a registered nurse to join our outpatient care team. You will provide skilled nursing services under physician or midlevel oversight, collecting patient health data, analyzing it to guide diagnoses, and developing a care plan tailored to each patient.

You will implement interventions, monitor progress, educate patients and families, and collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure safety and quality.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in nursing from aCCNE/ACEN accredited program.
• Current Ohio RN license.
• CPR/BLS certification.
• Knowledge of triage procedures in clinic/urgent care settings.
• Ability to maintain quality, safety, and infection control standards.
• Knowledge of administration of medications and patient care aids.
• Ability to educate and clearly communicate with patients and families.
• Ability to convey information both in writing and verbally.
• Strong interpersonal skills with poise and diplomacy.
• Analytical ability and critical thinking to interpret data.

Responsibilities

• Provide skilled nursing services to patients under the direction of a physician or midlevel provider, and provides a variety of related services to maintain a safe, therapeutic environment.
• Collect patient health data, analyze the data to determine diagnoses, identify expected outcomes individualized to the patient,
• Develop a plan of care that prescribes interventions to attain the expected outcomes,
• Implement the interventions identified in the plan of care, and evaluate the patient’s progress toward attainment of the outcomes,
• Work collaboratively with the healthcare team.
• Perform professional nursing work of considerable difficulty including the care of patients as outlined by physicians and the objectives and policies of the organization.
• Provide patient and family health education and health assessment.

Qualifications

• Associate Degree in Nursing from aCCNE (Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education) or Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing (ACEN) accredited nursing program.
• Current Ohio Registered Nurse license.
• CPR/BLS certified.
• Knowledge of triage procedures along with clinic, physician office and/or urgent care experience.
• Ability to maintain quality, safety, and/or infection control standards.
• Knowledge of appropriate procedures and standards for the administration of medications and patient care aids.
• Ability to educate and clearly communicate with patients and/or families as to the nature of disease and to provide instruction on proper care and treatment.
• Ability to convey information both in writing and verbally.
• High level of interpersonal skills to handle sensitive and confidential situations.
• Position continually requires demonstrated poise, tact and diplomacy.
• Analytical ability and critical thinking to gather and interpret data and develop, recommend, and implement solutions

Pay Range

USD $32.85 - USD $48.55 /Hr.
