Job summary

The Ohio State University Physicians, Inc. is seeking a skilled Registered Nurse in Columbus, Ohio to provide high-quality patient care under physician supervision.

You will collect health data, develop and execute care plans, and work closely with a multidisciplinary team to improve patient outcomes. Ideal candidates hold an Ohio RN license, CPR/BLS, and an Associate Degree in Nursing, with strong communication and collaboration skills to educate patients and families throughout care delivery.

Qualifications

  • Associate Degree in Nursing from an accredited program (CCNE/ACEN).
  • Current Ohio Registered Nurse license.
  • CPR/BLS certification.
  • Knowledge of triage procedures and infection control.
  • Ability to educate and communicate with patients and families.

Responsibilities

  • Provide skilled nursing services under physician direction and maintain a safe, therapeutic environment.
  • Collect patient health data and analyze to determine diagnoses and outcomes.
  • Develop and implement a care plan and evaluate patient progress.
  • Collaborate with the healthcare team to deliver patient-centered care.
  • Educate patients and families on health information and treatment plans.

Responsibilities
  • Provide skilled nursing services to patients under the direction of a physician or midlevel provider, and provides a variety of related services to maintain a safe, therapeutic environment.
  • Collect patient health data, analyze the data to determine diagnoses, identify expected outcomes individualized to the patient,
  • Develop a plan of care that prescribes interventions to attain the expected outcomes,
  • Implement the interventions identified in the plan of care, and evaluate the patient’s progress toward attainment of the outcomes,
  • Work collaboratively with the healthcare team.
  • Perform professional nursing work of considerable difficulty including the care of patients as outlined by physicians and the objectives and policies of the organization.
  • Provide patient and family health education and health assessment.
Qualifications
  • Associate Degree in Nursing from aCCNE (Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education) or Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing (ACEN) accredited nursing program.
  • Current Ohio Registered Nurse license.
  • CPR/BLS certified.
  • Knowledge of triage procedures along with clinic, physician office and/or urgent care experience.
  • Ability to maintain quality, safety, and/or infection control standards.
  • Knowledge of appropriate procedures and standards for the administration of medications and patient care aids.
  • Ability to educate and clearly communicate with patients and/or families as to the nature of disease and to provide instruction on proper care and treatment.
  • Ability to convey information both in writing and verbally.
  • High level of interpersonal skills to handle sensitive and confidential situations.
  • Position continually requires demonstrated poise, tact and diplomacy.
  • Analytical ability and critical thinking to gather and interpret data and develop, recommend, and implement solutions
Pay Range
USD $32.85 - USD $48.55 /Hr.
