Job summary

Hartford HealthCare is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) in Oncology to provide patient-centered care for oncology patients at Hartford Hospital in Hartford, CT. This role requires collaboration within interdisciplinary teams and a commitment to high-quality care for solid tumor and hematologic cancer patients.

ASN is required with a BSN to be obtained within six years; BSN preferred. Current CT RN license and BLS are required before start.

Qualifications

• ASN required. BSN must be obtained within 6 years of starting in the RN role. BSN preferred.

Responsibilities

• Apply evidence-based nursing practices in accordance with the State Nurse Practice Act.
• Develop and implement a care plan addressing physical, emotional, spiritual, cultural, and educational needs of patients and families.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to provide patient-centered oncology care.
• Care for medical oncology patients including solid tumors and hematologic cancers.
• Provide hospice and end-of-life care as needed.
• Manage med-surg overflow needs as required.

What You'll Do
