Job summary

Mercy Hospital South in St. Louis, MO is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) for Med surg General Surgery 3W to provide patient care using the Mercy Nursing Conceptual Framework and nursing process.

You will coordinate with interdisciplinary teams, uphold patient rights and confidentiality, and deliver compassionate care on a full-time night shift (7:00pm–7:00am) with a 36-hour week schedule. Sign-on bonuses are available for new grads and experienced RNs.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing with RN licensure in Missouri or compact licensure.
• BSN preferred; hospital experience may be required depending on unit.
• Current BLS certification or completed within 30 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient care using the nursing process and Mercy Nursing Conceptual Framework.
• Coordinate patient care with other departments and maintain patient rights/confidentiality.
• Uphold professional accountability and deliver high-quality nursing care on night shift.

Schedule: Full-time | 36 hours/week
Shift: Nights 7:00pm - 7:00am

• $10,000 Sign-On Bonus for New Graduate RNs
• $20,000 Sign-On Bonus for RNs with 1+ Years of Experience
  

Qualifications
Education: Graduate of an accredited school of nursing with one of the following:

• Associate Degree in Nursing
• Nursing Diploma
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
  

Licensure: Must hold and maintain a current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Missouri or possess compact licensure, in accordance with state board of nursing regulations.
Experience: Previous hospital experience is preferred and may be required depending on the unit.
Certifications

• Required: Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association, or completion within 30 days of hire.
  

Preferred Qualifications

• Education: BSN preferred
• Licensure: Additional state licensure or specialty certifications preferred
• Experience: Prior experience in specialty area or similar clinical setting
  

Physical Requirements

• Ability to push, pull, and lift up to 50 lbs regularly
• Prolonged standing and walking throughout the shift
• Ability to grip, reach, bend, kneel, twist, and squat as needed to perform nursing duties
