Job summary

Novant Health’s Medical/Surgical nursing unit seeks an RN to deliver high‑quality patient care in a fast-paced environment. You will manage diverse patients, administer medications (including IV therapies), support post‑operative recovery, and collaborate with physicians and care teams.

Education: 4 Year/Bachelors preferred; graduate of an accredited nursing program; current RN licensure. Experience: at least one year preferred. We value teamwork, communication, and compassionate care.

Qualifications

• 4 Year / Bachelors Degree preferred.
• Graduate of accredited nursing school; RN license required.
• Current RN licensure in appropriate state.

Responsibilities

• Managing a diverse patient population with varying acuity levels.

Our Med/Surg Unit provides care for a diverse patient population with a wide range of acute and chronic conditions, offering nurses the opportunity to build strong foundational skills while working in a collaborative environment.

Nurses on this unit care for patients with diagnoses including (but not limited to) post-surgical recovery, infections, GI conditions, respiratory issues, renal concerns, and general medical needs. What We\'re Looking For

• Education
  • 4 Year / Bachelors Degree, preferred.
  • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing required. If your RN nursing license has been inactive, retired or lapsed for five years or more and you have not been licensed in another state during the last five years, successful completion of a Board approved refresher course is required prior to reactivating or reinstating your license. In order to be considered for current licensure status, you must apply for reinstatement within one year of completing the refresher course.
