Novant Health is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Med/Surg unit in Wilmington, NC. You will provide comprehensive, patient-centered care to adults with various medical and surgical needs, collaborating with an interdisciplinary team to drive positive outcomes. The role requires a Bachelor's degree in Nursing, valid RN license in the state, BLS, and ongoing CEUs.

One year of relevant experience is expected, with a day schedule from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing required.
• RN licensure in appropriate state required.
• American Heart Association BLS.
• Annual CEUs as defined by NCBON.

Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, patient-centered care to adult medical/surgical patients.
• Perform comprehensive nursing assessments and develop care plans.
• Administer medications and treatments and monitor patient changes.
• Prioritize care and manage multiple patients in a fast-paced setting.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to coordinate care and outcomes.
• Educate patients and families on diagnoses, medications, and discharge plans.
• Maintain safety and adhere to hospital policies and standards.

Facility: Med/Surg | Location: Wilmington, NC, Full-Time | Work Schedule: 7 a.m. - 7 p.m.

What You'll Do

• Provide compassionate, patient-centered care to adult patients with a variety of medical and surgical conditions.
• Perform comprehensive nursing assessments, develop individualized plans of care, and monitor patient progress.
• Administer medications, treatments, and interventions while assessing and responding to changes in patient condition.
• Prioritize care and manage multiple patient needs in a fast-paced acute care environment.
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, therapists, and other members of the interdisciplinary team to coordinate care and support positive patient outcomes.
• Educate patients and families on diagnoses, medications, treatments, and discharge plans.
• Promote a safe environment while following evidence-based practices, hospital policies, and patient safety standards.

What We’re Looking For

equired:

• Education: 4 Year / Bachelor's degree, preferred, Associatedegree
• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing required. If your RN nursing license has been inactive, retired or lapsed for five years or more and you have not been licensed in another state during the last five years, successful completion of a Board approved refresher course is required prior to reactivating or reinstating your license. In order to be considered for current licensure status, you must apply for reinstatement within one year of completing the refresher course.
• Licensure/Certification: Current RN licensure in appropriate state, required. American Heart Association BLS. Some departments have additional advanced CPR requirements as listed on staff annual education record, required. Must maintain the annual required CEU’s as defined by NCBON. Additional hours may be required by the unit /dept. required.
• Experience: One-year relevant experience
