Job summary

Novant Health is seeking a PRN Night Shift Registered Nurse for Kernersville Medical Center in Kernersville, NC. You will deliver compassionate care to adult medical-surgical patients and collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to support treatment and recovery.

The role requires BSN preferred, active RN licensure in the appropriate state, and at least one year of relevant experience. Night shifts offer a fast-paced, team-oriented environment and opportunities for growth.

Qualifications

• RN licensure in the appropriate state is required.
• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• If RN license has been inactive, retired or lapsed for five years or more and you have not been licensed in another state during the last five years, a Board approved refresher course is required prior to reactivating or reinstating your license.
• One year of relevant nursing experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized patient care.
• Provide evidence-based nursing care to adult medical and post-surgical patients.
• Monitor patient conditions and respond to changes in clinical status.
• Administer medications, treatments, and interventions according to established standards.
• Educate patients and families regarding care plans, treatments, and discharge needs.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to coordinate safe, effective patient care.
• Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation.
• Promote patient safety, quality outcomes, and an exceptional patient experience.

What We’re Looking For

• Education: 4 Year / Bachelors Degree, preferred. Graduate of an accredited school of nursing required. If your RN nursing license has been inactive, retired or lapsed for five years or more and you have not been licensed in another state during the last five years, successful completion of a Board approved refresher course is required prior to reactivating or reinstating your license. In order to be considered for current licensure status, you must apply for reinstatement within one year of completing the refresher course.
• Experience: One year relevant experience, preferred.
• Licensure/Certification:RN licensure in appropriate state, required.
