Job summary

Select Specialty Hospital in McKeesport (inside UPMC McKeesport) is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) for a day shift from 7a to 7p. Compensation ranges from $39.38 to $53.00 per hour, with weekend shift differentials and a $15,000 sign-on bonus. Free parking is provided.

Qualifications

• Active State RN license.
• BLS certification required at hire.
• ACLS certification required within 6 months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Receive admissions and/or transfers to the unit.
• Perform initial and ongoing systematic patient assessments.
• Document accurately using appropriate systems.
• Interpret assessment and diagnostic data including labs and telemetry.
• Ensure medical orders are transcribed and processed correctly.
• Demonstrate competence in rapid response and code events.
• Instruct and counsel patients and families.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
