Job summary

Select Medical is seeking a Registered Nurse at Ochsner Rehabilitation Hospital in New Orleans, LA. This full-time, day-shift position (7:00a–7:00p) offers a $10,000 sign-on bonus and competitive hourly pay.

You will collaborate with a Nursing Assistant to manage a patient care plan and work with EPIC for timely documentation. Minimum qualifications include a state RN license and BLS; BSN or enrollment is preferred, plus clinical experience.

Qualifications

• Valid State RN License required.
• BLS required at hire.

Responsibilities

• Receive admissions and transfers and coordinate with Nursing Assistant.
• Perform initial and ongoing patient assessment and document accurately.
• Transcribe and process medical orders; monitor labs and telemetry.
• Support quality improvement initiatives and patient/family counseling.

Compensation: $37.52 - $50.50 per hour, based on years of experience

Sign on Bonus: $10,000

Responsibilities

On each shift, you will partner with a Nursing Assistant and handle a manageable case load.Together, you will help our patients achieve the outlined goals and milestones based on their unique patient care plan.

• Receiving admissions and/or transfers.
• Initial and ongoing systematic patient assessment.
• Timely and accurate documentation using EPIC
• Interpreting assessment/diagnostic data including labs and telemetry.
• Ensuring medical orders are transcribed and processed accurately.
• Promoting continuous quality improvement.
• Instructing and counseling patients/families.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

• Valid State RN License is required.
• BLS is required at hire.
