Job summary

PAM Health Specialty and Rehabilitation Hospital of Covington is seeking a Registered Nurse to provide and coordinate patient care on the nursing unit. You will guide interdisciplinary planning, discharge planning, and education for post-hospitalization, ensuring quality outcomes.

Under supervision of nursing leadership, you may assume Charge Nurse duties; current ACLS certification is required for Charge Nurses, with BLS and ACLS approved by AHA within 90 days of employment.

Qualifications

• Holds a current RN license in the state where the hospital resides, or compact licensure if state participates.
• Current BLS certification is required.
• Evidence of ACLS certification is required within 90 days of employment.
• BLS and ACLS certifications must be AHA approved within 90 days of employment.
• Current ACLS certification is required for Charge Nurses.
• One year of inpatient medical-surgical nursing experience preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Under the direction of the Chief Nursing Officer/Director of Nursing, Nurse Manager or Charge Nurse, the Registered Nurse (RN) is responsible for utilizing the nursing process while delivering, directing and supervising care to patients admitted to the nursing unit.
• The RN plans, coordinates, and provides patient care to include interdisciplinary planning, discharge planning, patient and family teaching for post-hospitalization, and accessing community resources.
• May perform other related duties as assigned or requested, including Charge Nurse (ACLS certification required).
