Job summary

PAM Health in San Antonio is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) for our inpatient nursing unit. Under the direction of the Chief Nursing Officer/Director of Nursing, Nurse Manager or Charge Nurse, you will deliver, direct and supervise patient care using the nursing process, including discharge planning and family teaching.

Requirements include an active RN license in the appropriate state (compact if available), current BLS, and ACLS certification within 90 days of employment.

Qualifications

• Active RN license in the state where the hospital resides, or compact licensure.
• Current BLS certification required; ACLS certification required within 90 days.
• ACLS is required for Charge Nurses.

Responsibilities

• Deliver, direct and supervise care to patients on the nursing unit.
• Plan, coordinate and provide patient care including discharge planning and teaching.
• Engage in interdisciplinary planning and community resource access.

Responsibilities

Under the direction of the Chief Nursing Officer/Director of Nursing, Nurse Manager or Charge Nurse, the Registered Nurse (RN) is responsible for utilizing the nursing process while delivering, directing and supervising care to patients admitted to the nursing unit. The Registered Nurse plans, coordinates, and provides patient care to include interdisciplinary planning, discharge planning, patient and family teaching for post-hospitalization, and accessing community resources. May perform other related duties as assigned or requested, including Charge Nurse (ACLS certification required).

Qualifications

Education and Training: Holds a current licensure as a registered nurse (RN) in the state where the hospital resides, or compact licensure if state participates. Current BLS certification is required. Evidence of ACLS certification is required within 90 days of employment. BLS and ACLS certifications must be AHA approved within 90 days of employment. Current ACLS certification is required for Charge Nurses.

Experience: One year of inpatient medical-surgical nursing experience preferred but not required.
