PAM Health Specialty and Rehabilitation Hospital of Covington is seeking an Registered Nurse (RN) to provide and oversee patient care on the nursing unit. You will coordinate interdisciplinary planning, discharge planning, and patient/family teaching for post-hospital care.

Under direction of nursing leadership, expect to perform in a supportive role that may include Charge Nurse responsibilities. Active RN licensure and BLS are required; ACLS within 90 days, with AHA approval, is necessary for

• One year of inpatient medical-surgical nursing experience preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

Under the direction of the Chief Nursing Officer/Director of Nursing, Nurse Manager or Charge Nurse, the Registered Nurse (RN) is responsible for utilizing the nursing process while delivering, directing and supervising care to patients admitted to the nursing unit. The Registered Nurse plans, coordinates, and provides patient care to include interdisciplinary planning, discharge planning, patient and family teaching for post-hospitalization, and accessing community resources. May perform other related duties as assigned or requested, including Charge Nurse (ACLS certification required).

Qualifications

Education and Training: Holds a current licensure as a registered nurse (RN) in the state where the hospital resides, or compact licensure if state participates. Current BLS certification is required. Evidence of ACLS certification is required within 90 days of employment. BLS and ACLS certifications must be AHA approved within 90 days of employment. Current ACLS certification is required for Charge Nurses.

Experience: One year of inpatient medical-surgical nursing experience preferred but not required.
