Job summary

PAM Health Specialty and Rehabilitation Hospital of Covington is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) to deliver and supervise patient care on the medical-surgical nursing unit. You will participate in interdisciplinary planning, discharge planning, and patient/family teaching for post-hospital care.

Responsibilities include coordinating care, collaborating with the care team, and assisting with discharge planning.

Qualifications

• Current RN licensure in the state where the hospital resides or compact licensure.
• Current BLS certification is required.
• ACLS certification is required within 90 days of employment; ACLS must be AHA approved within 90 days.

Responsibilities

• Deliver, direct, and supervise care to patients on the nursing unit.
• Plan, coordinate, and provide patient care including discharge planning and teaching.
• Engage in interdisciplinary planning and community resource access; may serve as Charge Nurse with ACLS requirement.
• Support the Chief Nursing Officer/Director of Nursing and supervisors as assigned.

Responsibilities

Under the direction of the Chief Nursing Officer/Director of Nursing, Nurse Manager or Charge Nurse, the Registered Nurse (RN) is responsible for utilizing the nursing process while delivering, directing and supervising care to patients admitted to the nursing unit. The Registered Nurse plans, coordinates, and provides patient care to include interdisciplinary planning, discharge planning, patient and family teaching for post-hospitalization, and accessing community resources. May perform other related duties as assigned or requested, including Charge Nurse (ACLS certification required).

Qualifications

Education and Training: Holds a current licensure as a registered nurse (RN) in the state where the hospital resides, or compact licensure if state participates. Current BLS certification is required. Evidence of ACLS certification is required within 90 days of employment. BLS and ACLS certifications must be AHA approved within 90 days of employment. Current ACLS certification is required for Charge Nurses.

Experience: One year of inpatient medical-surgical nursing experience preferred but not required.
