Job summary

LiveWell Homecare Agency seeks a Float RN to provide patient-centered care across inpatient units at a major academic medical center. This full-time position features a 12-hour day shift with differential pay, and opportunities for professional growth and ongoing education within a renowned hospital setting.

Ideal candidates will have 2+ years of acute Medical-Surgical nursing experience; ICU/CC experience is a plus, with a focus on safety, collaboration, and high-quality care delivery.

Qualifications

• Current RN license.
• At least 2 years of recent acute Medical-Surgical nursing experience; ICU or critical care experience preferred.
• Strong clinical judgment, adaptability, and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently across diverse clinical environments.

• Deliver direct nursing care, including assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation within established standards.
• Educate patients and families on managing illnesses, medications, and post-discharge care.
• Participate in ensuring patient safety, quality improvement, and regulatory compliance.
• Develop and communicate individualized care plans collaboratively with the healthcare team and patients.
• Assess physical, psychosocial, and emotional needs, respecting patient preferences and barriers.
• Maintain safety and adapt to various clinical settings, including high-acuity areas for ICU-experienced nurses.
