Job summary

The University of Kansas Health System St. Francis Campus in Topeka, Kansas seeks a night shift, full-time Float Pool Registered Nurse to join our team.

The RN will coordinate safe patient care across diverse populations and work under the Nurse Director/Manager to support patient outcomes. Requirements include an associate degree in nursing, Kansas RN licensure, and BLS; ACLS for Tele/ICU/PCU; oncology certification after surgery.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in nursing required.
• Current Kansas RN Licensure.
• BLS certification must be obtained within 14 days of hire or transfer into the role and prior to providing direct patient care.
• ACLS required for Tele, ICU and PCU.
• Oncology certification required after post surgery.
• All required certifications must be completed within first year of employment.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate safe patient care delivery for specified patient populations.
• Assess patient/family needs, develop and prioritize patient goals, and continually revise the plan of care.
• Delegate care to optimize patient outcomes.
• Adhere to the Kansas Nurse Practice Act.

Responsibilities

• The Registered Nurse works under the direction of the Nurse Director/Manager and is responsible for coordination of safe patient care delivery for specified and diverse patient populations.
• The RN assesses patient/family needs, develops and prioritizes patient goals, evaluates care delivery, and continually revised the plan of care to meet the biological, emotional, psychosocial, spiritual, developmental, and educational needs of the patient/family.
• The RN Delegates care as appropriate to optimize patient outcomes.
• The RN adheres to the Kansas Nurse Practice Act.

Qualifications

Job Requirements:

• Familiar with Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, Excel).
