Job summary

MedStar Health’s Washington Hospital Center in Baltimore is seeking qualified Registered Nurses for the Float Pool across Tower units. Open to RNs with at least 2 years of experience; roles include Full Time Nights, Full Time Days, Part Time Days, Part Time Nights, PRN Days and PRN Nights.

Base pay is determined by experience, with hourly differential and shift pay. Candidates must hold ADN/BSN/MSN/CNL, be licensed in MD or a compact state, and have BLS; ACLS and NIHSS preferred.

Qualifications

• RN experience of at least 2 years.
• Strong acute care RN background, especially Med Surg Telemetry.
• Active MD RN License or Compact State RN with BLS; ACLS & NIHSS preferred.

Pay

• Base Pay based on working years of experience as a nurse
• Hourly float pool differential (X 12 hours)
• Shift Differentials
• Charge/Preceptor Pay

Full Time Requirements

• Three 12-hour shifts and every 3rd weekend
• 3 designated holidays per year
• 2 hard-to-fill shifts per year (Mother's Day, Father's Day, Easter Sunday, Halloween, Super Bowl Sunday, Black Friday, 4th of July Nights)

Part Time Requirements

• Two 12-hour shifts & every 3rd weekend, 24 hours per week
• Holiday and hard-to-fill shifts per year

PRN Requirements

• Minimum of 6 shifts per 6 weeks
• If working a straight day or straight night shift, 3 (of the 6 shifts) weekend shifts required
• 1 holiday per year
• 1 hard-to-fill shift per year

Qualifications

• ADN, BSN, MSN, or CNL from an accredited School of Nursing required.
• 2 years of RN experience required; at least 2+ years of acute care RN experience, particularly in Med Surg Telemetry, strongly preferred.
• Active MD RN License or Active Compact State RN and Basic Life Support for Healthcare providers required (AHA or American Red Cross) by completion of introductory period. ACLS & NIHSS strongly preferred.
