Job Overview:

The Staff Nurse will be responsible for providing care for patients in the Divisional Critical Care Resource Pool. As a Critical Float Pool Staff Nurse, you will cover several critical care areas, including Medical ICU, Burn ICU, Neuro ICU, Cardiothoracic ICU, and Coronary Care.

Qualifications:

• Minimum 2 years of critical care or recent telemetry experience.
• Strong critical thinking and assessment skills.
• Must be I.V. certified or complete certification within 90 days of hire.
• Completion of all orientation requirements of Cooperman Barnabas Medical Center.
• Successful completion of all orientation programs.

Certifications and Licenses:

• Current New Jersey RN licensure.
• Baccalaureate or Associate Degree in Nursing.
• American Heart Association BLS and ACLS certifications.

Scheduling Requirements:

• Night shift, 7P-8A, 12.5-hour shifts, Part-Time.
• Every other weekend and holiday rotations required.

Essential Functions:

• Provide nursing care within the scope of practice and ensure safety and ethical standards.
• Maintain knowledge of patient populations and collaborate with care team members.
• Supervise and delegate tasks appropriately.
• Set and evaluate priorities with measurable outcomes.
• Utilize the nursing process to individualize patient care plans.
