Job summary

BrightStar Care of Denton, TX is seeking an experienced full-time Registered Nurse to join our clinical team and support field visits in Denton and surrounding areas. Monday to Friday 9:00am–5:00pm with rotating weekend on call, providing skilled home health care and coordinating with physicians.

Must hold a Texas RN license, have wound care and IV/Central Line experience, and be able to lift up to 50 pounds.

Qualifications

• Current unrestricted license as a registered nurse in Texas.
• Preferred: Bachelor’s degree in Nursing.
• Wound care experience is preferred.
• Proficiency in IV skills and Central Line (PICC/PORT) care is required.
• Certified CPR and negative TB skin test or chest x-ray.
• Minimum one year of documented experience in a home health agency, primary care clinic or health facility (three to five years preferred).
• Possess exceptional nursing assessment skills.
• Analytic/Critical thinker.
• Licensed driver with valid automobile insurance.
• Reliable transportation.
• Must be able to stand, walk, squat, bend, kneel, reach, twist, push and pull; lift up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Monitor patient's condition and assess needs to provide care and guidance.
• Perform routine procedures (blood pressure, injections) and fill patient charts.
• Adjust and administer medications per physician orders.
• Provide instant medical care in emergencies.
• Counsel client and family through care process and update regularly.
• Foster a supportive and compassionate environment for patients and families.

Responsibilities

Requirements
