RWJBarnabas Health's Newark Beth Israel Medical Center is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse for the ER on the night shift. You will assess patients, administer care, and collaborate with physicians in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Active New Jersey RN license in good standing
• AHA BLS certification
• BSN preferred
• Emergency room experience preferred
• Experience with EPIC EMR systems

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive patient assessments and intervene early.
• Provide safe, evidence-based medications, treatments, and hands-on care.
• Collaborate with physicians and advanced providers for timely care decisions.
• Educate patients and families to ensure they are informed and supported.
• Document accurately in the EMR to promote continuity and safety.

Responsibilities

• Conducting comprehensive patient assessments and recognize subtle clinical changes, using your judgment to intervene early and advocate for your patients
• Providing safe, evidence-based medications, treatments, and hands on care grounded in strong clinical judgment
• Serving as a clinical partner to physicians and advanced providers, offering insight that supports timely, well-coordinated care decisions
• Providing clear, compassionate education to patients and families so they feel informed, supported, and prepared for the next phase of care

To be considered for this RN opportunity, you must hold an active New Jersey Registered Nurse license in good standing and a current American Heart Association BLS certification. A Bachelor's degree in Nursing is strongly preferred, as is prior patient care experience ideally emergency room nursing and comfort with electronic medical record systems (EMR) like EPIC.

Scheduling Requirements

• Night Shift – 7:00p-7:30a
• Full Time, 36 hours per week
• Every other weekend required. Schedule during the week will vary depending on department needs
