Job summary

Hackensack Meridian Mountainside Medical Center in Montclair, NJ is seeking a night shift Emergency Room Registered Nurse. You will perform initial patient assessments, coordinate with physicians, and administer meds and IV therapy while monitoring vitals and educating patients on treatment options.

Requirements include a NJ RN license and 1+ year acute care experience; ACLS, BLS, and PALS are required or obtained within specified timeframes.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing.
• 1+ years' experience as staff RN in an acute care hospital setting.
• Valid New Jersey RN license.
• ACLS Certification.
• BLS certification must be obtained within 14 days of hire or transfer.
• PALS Certification.
• Bachelor's degree in Nursing (preferred).
• Emergency Room setting experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform initial patient assessments and partner with physicians to devise, implement, and evaluate plan of care.
• Administer medications and IV, monitor vital signs.
• Provide patients with support and education on diagnosis, treatment options and disease process.

Responsibilities

The RN (Registered Nurse) is responsible for performing initial patient assessments and partnering with physicians to devise, implement, and evaluate plan of care, while administering medications, IV, monitor vital signs, and provide patients with support and education on diagnosis treatment options and disease process

Qualifications

Job Requirements:

• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing.
• 1+ years' experience as a staff RN in an acute care hospital setting.

• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) Certification.
• BLS certification must be obtained within 14 days of hire or transfer into the role and prior to providing direct patient care.
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) Certification.

• Bachelor's degree in Nursing.
• Emergency Room setting experience.

Rate of pay is determined based on experience and education and may include other pay components such as differentials and call pay based on role.
